Multi Use Games Areas, (MUGA’s)

MUGA’s, are suitable for many Sport and Play uses.

They are smaller in area, are often open to users in a less structured manner, and often have a less technical surface.

They are designed for several sports and allow play in a casual or ad-hoc manner.

MUGA’s are common in Public Parks, in School or Community Centre settings or as an ‘add on’ to a larger or more technical sport or facility.

Like tennis courts MUGA’s can be finished as Macadam, Artificial Carpet or Polymeric.

Most MUGA’s are fenced, have lighting and all are lined for a variety of sports.

The size and specification of a MUGA often depends on the location or the budget available.
