Hunter Construction (Aberdeen) Limited were established by Ken Hunter in 1972, making it one of the longest established Construction companies in the North East of Scotland.

Hunter Construction grew quickly and the Company still remains a force in the North East Civil Engineering construction industry.

The Company is able to offer to its Clients a wide range of Civil Engineering skills and expertise.

Hunter retains a directly employed workforce of experienced operatives and tradesmen.

These in-house abilities are complimented by specialist suppliers and sub-contractors, many of whom have been associated with the company for many years.

Together with our experienced and qualified Staff, this allows the company to confidently tackle a wide range of Civil Engineering projects.

Whilst the core of the companies work remains in the Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire Moray and North Angus areas the company will carry out work throughout Scotland.

From Highways to Driveways! 

Hunter Construction have vast experience of Road Construction and the ancillary Traffic and Pedestrian management.

Rural roads, dual carriageways, surfacing overlays, farm accesses, house drives, roundabouts, traffic and pedestrian signals and crossings and all types of footpaths have all been successfully constructed.

We offer a complete service to Main Contractors and to Developers, constructing all the necessary infrastructure, to allow them to complete their projects and schemes. We work closely with our clients to allow them to  meet their programmes and  exacting quality requirements, again our enviable record of completed projects is testament to our ability.

Hunter Construction have installed all sizes and depths of Sewers, Pipelines, Ducts, chambers etc. through all types of ground conditions and surfaces, employing any dewatering or specialist shoring as may be required, allowing us to complete complicated trenchwork in a safe and secure manner.

Over the years, Hunter Construction has constructed tens of thousands of m2 of concrete slabs, these range from concrete footpaths through polished floors to airport quality PQ slabs. We frequently construct Structural Foundations and Walls, including retaining walls, using a variety of formwork types and techniques, often utilising specialist plant and equipment.

Hunter Construction are frequently involved in works affected by tides or constructed within the Marine environment, (frequently both at once) these projects require a great deal of additional co-ordination and planning, which our staff can provide. This experience allows us to pursue to best advantage works within the Coastal, River or within the Harbour environment with their special demands of a hugely diverse stakeholder and exacting environmental standards. Our experience allows us to confidently complete these projects.

Hunter have been heavily involved in maintaining, developing and enhancing the built and natural environment. Using natural or reconstituted materials we have been involved in many works using natural stone kerbing, slabbing, steps or walling. We have constructed footbridges and both bitmac and country style surfaces on long distance paths and on local footways. We have constructed improved parking in environmentally sensitive areas.
